Very customer focused and always looking to offer the best service possible to our clients, ensuring that every aspect of our business is run as efficiently as possible. Well, that’s enough about my colleagues, now for me. Responsible for the development of the business, ensuring that we stay abreast of the changing marketplace and the services required not only for our existing client base but accommodating potential clients.

Our aim is to be innovative in our ideas and ensure that our service is tailored to each client’s specific requirements. Employee development is something that is high on my agenda. We have a very open dialogue with all employees and will assist in any way to enhance their development and wellbeing.

I am also keen on fundraising for various charities and will be taking part in a cycle challenge in Burma (Jan 2016).

Best known for my determination to succeed and provide a 1st class service whilst managing to stay humorous. I play a large role in ensuring that all projects are completed on time and on budget, whilst maintaining the high standards of health and safety & quality that we expect and that our clients demand.

It is my responsibility to ensure that all project staff stay focused and are introduced to new working practices to ensure we stay ahead of the competition. My role as operations director allows me to get involved in business development and forging trading partnerships with both clients & suppliers I am only fazed when I realise that I am getting low on hair wax.

Certainly not of the sales prevention model, that can be attributed to some accounts departments, I am, along with my colleagues, very customer focused and will work hard with both clients and manufactures to ensure that cash flow remains key. I am very approachable and can always be swayed by the offer of a nice glass rosé.

On the flip side I am a regular attendee of body combat classes, so let’s just say my cash collection can be very persuasive. My role within the business is developing all of the time and allows me to get involved in other aspects of the business and attend networking events to further enhance the business profile.

Having known about Closewood for many years, and worked for the company on a sub-contract basis, I finally succumbed to the opportunity to become part of the team. Like Darren, I too have been working in the industry for too many years to remember, although my knees are still in pretty good condition.

My responsibilities include estimating new projects, overseeing engineers on site and assisting in developing new work practices, working closely with clients throughout the project and updating on progress and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and on budget. I am a keen cyclist (Mountain biking) and will be completing a 450km charity cycle ride in Burma in aid of save the children (January 2016).

My love for a wide selection of flavored tea has got me known in the office as the “crazy tea lady”, but I don’t think I’m that crazy. My role at Closewood has developed and seen me obtain a very good understanding of the systems and requirements for each department. Initially employed to look after maintenance administration which involved, booking in pre-planned maintenance visits and reacting to call outs.

By working closely with our clients and engineers. I believe that we offer a real, value for money service that puts us ahead of our competitors. I know work closely with all departments ensuring that all requirements are catered for and the smooth running of the office. Time for another cuppa I think.

Paul Gamble, Project Coordinator

Probably best known in the office for my excellent singing voice, well I think it is. I am now working within the projects division after learning the ropes in the maintenance division. My role involves looking after the administration duties for the mechanical, electrical & air conditioning installation divisions of the business.

I also get involved with take offs from drawings and quoting smaller air conditioning projects. I have been given the opportunity to complete a level 2 CAD course and look forward to developing my skills and experience at Closewood.
